Use of Technology in Sustainable Education: Examining Trends with Content Analysis

Öz

This study examines academic trends in the use of technology in sustainable education through content analysis. Content analysis was conducted on academic publications obtained from Web of Science (WoS) and Scopus databases, and the changes in digital technologies and sustainability-oriented approaches in education over time were evaluated. Keywords, abstracts and titles were coded with MAXQDA software to identify prominent topics on the use of technology in sustainable education. The findings show that educational technologies have the potential to transform pedagogical processes in line with sustainable development goals. Especially in the post-2010 period, the integration of digital education tools into sustainable learning environments has gained momentum, and this integration has become more widespread in the post-2020 period. This study analyzes trends in the use of technology in sustainable education and provides a comprehensive framework for future research and educational policy.

Sürdürülebilir Eğitimde Teknoloji Kullanımı: İçerik Analizi ile Eğilimlerin İncelenmesi

Öz

Bu çalışma, sürdürülebilir eğitimde teknoloji kullanımına ilişkin akademik eğilimleri içerik analizi yöntemiyle incelemektedir. Web of Science (WoS) ve Scopus veri tabanlarından elde edilen akademik yayınlar üzerinde içerik analizi gerçekleştirilmiş, eğitimde dijital teknolojilerin ve sürdürülebilirlik odaklı yaklaşımların zaman içindeki değişimi değerlendirilmiştir. Anahtar kelimeler, özetler ve başlıklar MAXQDA yazılımı ile kodlanarak, sürdürülebilir eğitimde teknoloji kullanımına dair öne çıkan konular belirlenmiştir. Bulgular, eğitim teknolojilerinin sürdürülebilir kalkınma hedefleri doğrultusunda pedagojik süreçleri dönüştürme potansiyeline sahip olduğunu göstermektedir. Özellikle 2010 sonrası dönemde dijital eğitim araçlarının sürdürülebilir öğrenme ortamlarına entegrasyonu hız kazanmış, 2020 sonrası dönemde ise bu entegrasyonun daha yaygın hale geldiği tespit edilmiştir. Bu çalışma, sürdürülebilir eğitimde teknoloji kullanımına yönelik eğilimleri analiz ederek, gelecekteki araştırmalar ve eğitim politikaları için kapsamlı bir çerçeve sunmaktadır.
