Esma Vatandaş graduated from Sabahattin Zaim University, Turkey with a master degree in Faculty of Business and Management Sciences in 2020 after obtaining her undergraduated in Faculty of Theology from the University of Marmara, Turkey in 2015. Vatandas was also completed a education programme at İLEM (İlmi Etüdler Derneği) that including out interdisciplinary studies between 2012-2015 during undergraduating. After her graduation, she have worked as the teacher, coordinator, researcher and assistant editor in the field of education and institutions conducting academic studies.
She currently study her PhD in the thesis stage in Islamic Economics and Finance at Istanbul University. In addition to her academic education, she work as researcher since 2018, at the Maruf Foundation Insitute of Islamic Economics, Istanbul.
Vatandas has authored some academic papers, book review, and book chapter. Vatandas’ working fields include that consumption, issue of waste, Muslim consumer's behaviour, relationship between morality and economy, political economy, cybersecurity, issue of transparency in economy, economic development, and participationg banking in Turkey. She hope contributing and supprting to acedemic area, the other researchers and policy makers with her researchs and her suggestions.
