A Postmodern Orientation in Career Counselling: Career Adaptability

Abstract

The purpose of the current study is the theoretical investigation of the concept of career adaptability. To this end, first, information is given about the definition of career adaptability. Then the issue of dimensioning career adaptability is discussed. Finally, Savickas’ theory of career construction is examined. As a result, career adaptability can be considered as an important concept in terms of career counselling. Investigation of two important orientations called special career adaptability and general career adaptability can enrich scientific studies in the field of career counselling.
