Öz

Bu makalede tamamlanmış Doktora tezinin bir bölümünde bahsedilen yirmialtı kaleden biri olan Liman Kalesi hakkında yapılan çalışmalar ve edinilen bilgiler anlatılmaktadır. Anadolu’nun Akdeniz kıyı şeridinde bulunan ve deniz ulaşım yolları üzerindeki onlarca kaleden biri olan bu yapı, Kıbrıs’a yakınlığı, özgün mimarisi ve korunaklı limanıyla dikkat çekmektedir.
Yazının amacı bu az bilinen kaleyi mimari ögeleri ile tanıtmak, belgelemek ve koruma sorunları hakkında çözüm önerileri sunmaktır. Belgeleme çalışmaları 2009 yılında yapılmıştır. Yapım tarihi henüz net olarak tespit edilemeyen kalenin mevcut durumu yerinde incelenmiş, ölçüler alınmış, aynı zamanda literatür araştırması yapılarak tarihçesi hakkındaki bilgiler aktarılmıştır. Kale mimarisine ilişkin elemanlar, mazgal, dendan, vb. ile kale içindeki yapılar incelenerek yapının kale mimarisi içindeki özelliği belirtilmeye çalışılmıştır. Koruma sorunları tespit edilmiş, korunmasına yönelik öneriler sunulmuştur.

In this article, the studies and information about Liman Castle, which is one of the twenty-six castles mentioned in a part of the completed PhD thesis, are explained.This castle is one of the dozens of castles on the Mediterranean coastline of Anatolia and on the sea transportation routes. It draws attention with its proximity to Cyprus, its unique architecture and its safe harbor.
The aim of the article is to introduce this little-known castle with its architectural elements, to document it and to offer solutions about conservation problems. Documentation studies were carried out in 2009.The current situation of the castle, whose construction date has not been determined yet, was examined on site, measurements were taken, and information about its history was conveyed by making literature research at the same time.By examining the elements of the castle architecture, battlements, dendan, etc. and the structures inside the castle, the feature of the building in the castle architecture has been tried to be determined.Conservation problems have been identified and suggestions for its protection have been presented.

In this article, the studies and information about Liman Castle, which is one of the twenty-six castles mentioned in a part of the completed PhD thesis, are explained.This castle is one of the dozens of castles on the Mediterranean coastline of Anatolia and on the sea transportation routes. It draws attention with its proximity to Cyprus, its unique architecture and its safe harbor.
