Ankara University Press was established in September 2010 at Ankara University's Tandoğan Campus, International Office, located in Emniyet Mahallesi 06100 Yenimahalle/Ankara. After defining its publishing policy, an Editorial Board comprising Ankara University faculty members was appointed, and series arrangements began. The press started accepting submissions not only from Ankara University faculty but also from academic staff of other universities, researchers, and writers from diverse disciplines. The mission of Ankara University Press is to enrich the university's knowledge repository with vibrant and diverse content while maintaining scientific rigor and distributing it to a broad audience.
The first books published by Ankara University Press include:
- Cumhuriyet’s Utopia: Ankara, edited by Assoc. Dr. Funda Cantek, which explores topics ranging from political life and architecture to archaeology, music, and the press.
- Mehmet Necati Kutlu’s Talisman, Faith and Rebellion: From the Beginning to the XVIII Century of Latin American Literature Until the Twentieth Century.
- Women’s Labor in Turkey from Past to Present, edited by Ahmet Makal and Prof. Dr. Gülay Toksöz.

It achieves this by publishing high-quality, critical, and creative works of lasting value. The press also aspires to broaden its horizons, elevating university publishing in Turkey to an international level.
