Aim & Scope

Definition
The Journal of Turkish World Studies (TDİD for short) is an open-access publication of Ege University Institute of Turkic World Studies, which covers studies in the field of social sciences related to Turkic peoples, is published twice a year in Summer and Winter periods, uses the blind refereeing method in the scientific control process, and accepts articles written in Turkish and other Turkish dialects, English and Russian.
Objective
TDİD strives to publish studies that will contribute to the accumulation of scientific knowledge in the fields of social sciences, arts, and humanities related to Turkic peoples, revise the existing accumulation, deepen the problematics, make the studies in this field visible and prepare the fields of dissemination. In particular, it aims to create a discussion ground for studies on historical and spatial continuity and ruptures among Turkic peoples.

 

Scope
TDİD publishes research, case presentation, compilation, publication from thesis, translation, transfer, book review and necrology type studies in the fields of social sciences, arts and humanities related to Turkic peoples; reviews on scientific publications in this field and studies on teaching Turkish to foreigners.
