Journal of Erciyes Communication uses the Dergipark infrastructure. Studies submitted to Journal of Erciyes Communication and successfully passed the referee processes are published in the DergiPark system. Studies returned, rejected and withdrawn by the editors and the editorial board before entering the referee process, or studies returned, rejected and withdrawn at the end of the refereeing process are stored in the journal park infrastructure in a way that is not open to the public. The content of the article, the supplementary files and the author information can be seen by the relevant people in the journal boards. Article file, similarity report, ethics committee report according to research type, conflict of interest form and author information form are requested from the authors. Author information form includes Title, Name and Surname, Institution Information, City/Country, E-mail and ORCID information from the author. In journal system; the editorial secretariat, only the field editor of the relevant article, the assistant editor and the editor can access the study contents and author information. Statistics editor, Language editors and Ethics editor can only access the content of the relevant article sent to them. The Editorial Board and other editorial roles can only have access the content and article files of the work if they are referred to it. The advisory board is not authorized in the process. In this context, Editorial roles are announced on the "Journal Boards" page. The operation of the process and by whom the information is accessed can be followed under the headings of "Ethical Principles and Publication Policy" and "Arbitration Process".
If there is information provided by third parties in the study data, the authors are warned by the Editorial Secretariat at the pre-control stage to anonymize this data and necessary actions are taken. In the preflight phase, the work and author information can be viewed by the Editorial Secretariat, Editor and Assistant Editors. Referee processes are carried out only on the relevant article file in the anonymous stream, without author information. Likewise, the author can view the referee reports anonymously during the process. When it comes to the publishing stage, the layout editor can also access the article files. During the publication process, all journal board members are sensitive about the protection of personal data.
Ethics committee decision is required for Field and Experimental Studies. In cases where the personal information of the participants is required to be published, studies that do not have an ethics committee approval form are returned at the pre-control stage. Studies involving the disadvantaged social segment are included in the evaluation process in line with the decision of the editorial board and the opinion of the Ethics Editor, as well as the decision of the ethics committee. In this process, the anonymization policy regarding the identities of the research participants is carefully followed by the journal boards.
Journal of Erciyes Communication manages author information, process data, archive system through DergiPark and shares some data with the following platforms. All process files such as selected referee reports and initial application text are only uploaded to “TR-Dizin” system. These files are not publicly accessible. Referee reviews can be published anonymously with the decision of the editorial board. Study data and related work are uploaded to the Aperta system only upon the request of the author or the recommendation of the Editorial Board. Our journal provides DOI for each article and transfers article metadata to the DOI system. Article and author information is systematically updated on Google Scholar and made available to researchers.
The full text and metadata of the article are indexed in Dergipark publication platform, Tr Index and Erich Plus. Articles are also stored on identifier platforms such as Google Scholar and DOI.
Data anonymization and deletion requests to be sent to Journal of Erciyes Communication will be promptly notified to the working partners, and the follow-up and result will be communicated to the requester.
