Publication Frequency
Journal of Research in Education and Society (JRES) is published on electronical environment two times a year (June and December).

Publication Language
The publication language of manuscripts for the Journal of Research in Education and Society (JRES) is Turkish or English. The papers which will be published as full text in Turkish should include title, abstract and keywords in English while the papers to be published in English are expected to include title, abstract and keywords in Turkish.
It is highly important that grammar and spelling rules of Turkish and English language should be followed in papers. In addition to these rules, the authors are expected to use a clear, comprehensible and literal language appropriate for relevant literature. Besides this responsibility expected from the authors, every manuscript accepted to be published is checked by proofreading groups and the authors are expected to edit their papers according to the proofreading feedbacks before publication.

Submitting Your Paper
After the authors read the rules on the page of “Author Guide” and “Ethical Principles and Publication Policy”, they are expected to prepare their papers appropriate to the rules in spelling guidelines. Completing the supplements needed, the authors should submit their papers using journal management system https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/etad.

Supplementary Documents to be Submitted on System
The prospective papers prepared as appropriate to the template of the Journal of Research in Education and Society (JRES) should be submitted on system with copyright form, similarity report and Ethics Committee Approval Form. Template and copyright form are avaliable here:

Evaluation Process

The editor is assigned directly to prospective articles submitted to the system and pre-assesment process begins with techinical team support. Beginning of pre-assesment process lasts 1-3 days.

       Pre-assesment Process
The prospective articles received for pre-assesment process are controlled by editors in terms of suitability for journal scope. The articles which are not convenient to journal scope are returned to the authors with related justification. The suitable articles undergo four process to control if the files are appropriate:
• If the article requires an ethical committee approval, it is checked in terms of appropriateness of ethical committee approval form. The title and the author names on the article are cross-checked with the title on the ethical committee approval form in terms of consistency.
• The copyright form is controlled if it is filled out appropriately and if the author names are given in suitable order. Moreover, copyright form is checked whether it has original signature.
• The journal editors check the prospective articles in terms of plagiarism through Turnitin. The similiarity score is expected to be under 20% and the similarities are expected to not be derived from plagiarism.
• The article is controlled if it is appropriate fort the template. If it has mistakes, they are stated as explanation on the file.
If there is any problem in these four process, the author is informed and they are expected to edit their articles and send them back. The editor is assigned to the articles which have evaluation process without any problem.

       Reviewer Evaluation Process
The editor of related field assigns two reviewers from different institutions for the article according to its subject area. The reviewers are expected to reply in 7 days. If the time for reviewers are expired, they are reminded again and another 7 days are added to examine the article. If the reviewer does not reply in 14 days, s/he is remeoved and editor assigns an another reviewer for the article.
The reviewers accepting the invitation to be a reviewer have 30 days to evaluate the article. If the reviewers cannot complete the evaluation in this time, 15 extra days are assigned. Two reviewers are expected to complete evaluation to reach a decision. If two reviewers make a decision of rejection, editors reject the article. In case one of the reviewers reject the article, area editor assigns a third reviewer. The third editor is expected to cemplete evaluation process to have a decision about the related article. If third editor makes a decision of rejection, editors reject the article. In rejection process, reports of reviewers are sent to authors with justifications.
In case at least two reviewers agree on a revision of related article, revision request is sent to the author. To complete the revision of article, the author has 30 days. Authors should make revisions on main file of article and Reviewer Revision Form is filled out with the revisions given by reviewers if it is needed. If the reviewer in the first evaluation process desires to see the revisions, s/he is assigned for the second evaluation process of the article revised by the author. If at least two reviewers accept the article or they determine that the article can be published after revision, the revisions are controlled by area editor. If area editor confirm, article is accepted.
Reviewer evaluation process lasts 1-2 months depending on duration of accepting the invitation and evaluation. Considering author revision and the other related process, informing the author about the evaluation result lasts 1-3 months. . Duration of evaluation process may differ.

       Language and Reference Check
The articles accepted are sent to proofreading team for Turkish-English language control and reference check. The articles approved in terms of language and reference check can be turned back to author if it is required. The author is expected to send the article back after s/he realized the revisions. The page layout of the article revised is realized and sent back to author for last control. After having approval from author, page number and digital object identifier (DOI) is identified to related article. Therefore, the article is arranged for related issue.

       Publishment of Article
The number of articles to be published on next issue is determined by editors balancing the article numbers of previous issues according to intensity of journal. Moreover, which articles will be published on next journal is determined by editors according to dates of delivery and acceptance and also article number.

       Article Withdrawal
The authors may withdraw their articles giving reasons while they are on pre-evaluation or editor process. The authors who decide to withdraw their article when they are on evaluation process or completed, or published are expected to send an e-mail including a withdrawal petition scanned with orijinal signature to journal editors using the adress etader@gazi.edu.tr Editor committee inform the author(s) by examining the demand of article withdrawal as soon as possible. The authors can submit their articles to an another journal only after editors approve the withdrawal of articles, the copyright of which is transferred to the Journal of Research in Education and Society (JRES) in submitting process.

Personal information stated by authors during correspondence and application process for theJournal of Research in Education and Society (JRES) is not used anywhere except scientific purposes and is not shared with third parties.

Refeeres have to quarantee for not sharing any process and documents of articles they evaluate. The referee names of the articles which are published or rejected in an issue are stated on the relevant journal as a whole.
