Writing Rules

General Conditions
Submissions to the journal must be in Turkish or English and should not have been previously published or submitted for publication elsewhere.
Manuscripts submitted for review must be uploaded to the journal system in accordance with the journal’s writing guidelines.
If the manuscript is derived from a thesis or another scientific study, this must be indicated in a footnote on the first page of the article, placed under the article title.
Authors must upload their manuscripts using the article template. Submissions that do not comply with the template will be rejected by the editors without being sent for peer review.
Since manuscripts are subject to double-blind peer review, the names and details of the authors should not appear in the manuscript. These details will be added by the journal editorial team upon acceptance. For an example of the author information document, click here.
For multi-author studies, the contribution statement and conflict of interest declaration must be uploaded as an attachment. Click here for the declaration form.
Submitted manuscripts must comply with language and grammar rules. The study's topic, purpose, scope, and rationale should be clearly stated in an organized manner, adhering to valid scientific methodologies.
Authors should upload an additional file containing their author details along with the manuscript. When submitting a new manuscript, select the "New Submission" tab, mark the submission language, submission requirements, notes for the editor, and policy statements, then click "Save and Continue" to proceed to the "Upload Submission" step. At this stage, select "Manuscript Text" to upload and approve the manuscript. Then, click "Add Another File", choose "Other", and upload the author information file.
If reviewers request revisions, the revised manuscript should be uploaded under the "Revisions" section.
Main Text Writing Guidelines
Manuscripts submitted for publication must include an abstract in both Turkish and English, which should not exceed 200 words. Below the abstract, there should be at least 3 and at most 5 keywords, along with JEL Classification Codes. Click here for JEL Codes.
The main text of the manuscript should not exceed 10,000 words (20 pages), excluding references and appendices. Appendices, if any, should be placed after the references. If the manuscript slightly exceeds this limit, the editorial team will decide whether to initiate the review process.
Manuscripts should be formatted using Cambria font, size 11, with 1.15 line spacing, on A4-sized paper with the following margins: 4 cm (top and bottom), 2.5 cm (left and right).
Paragraph indentation should be 1 cm, and paragraph spacing should be 0 pt before, 6 pt after.
Manuscripts requiring Ethics Committee Approval must include details regarding the name of the ethics committee, approval date, and approval number in the methodology section. Additionally, the Ethics Committee Approval document must be submitted as an additional file when submitting the manuscript. Manuscripts without Ethics Committee Approval will not be reviewed. Detailed information on ethics committee approval is available in the "About - Ethics Committee Approval" section.
In-Text Citation Rules
Citations should be formatted as (Last Name, Year). If necessary, page numbers may also be included.
Single author: (North, 1992)
Two authors: (Charemza & Deadman, 1993)
More than two authors: (Kaya, Güngör & Gülhan, 2016)
When citing multiple sources, use a semicolon (;) to separate them: (North, 1992; Ferrer et al., 2016).
If the same author has multiple works published in the same year, they should be differentiated as follows:
(Kaya, 2020a)
(Kaya, 2020b)
Footnotes should be placed on the same page where they appear.
Tables, Figures, and Graphs Formatting Rules
Tables, figures, and graphs must be numbered sequentially within their category (tables, figures, and graphs separately) and must fit within the page margins.
The sources for tables, figures, and graphs must be provided below the respective element, following the in-text citation rules.
Table titles should be placed above the tables, while figure and graph titles should be placed below them. Titles should be indented by 1 cm.
If any table, graph, figure, or diagram is borrowed from another source, authors must redesign them rather than copying them directly.
Reference Formatting Rules
The references should be listed in alphabetical order by the author's last name at the end of the manuscript.
If an author has multiple publications, they should be listed in chronological order.
The APA 6 citation style should be used for referencing. Below are examples:
