He earned a bachelor's degree in economics and a master's degree in economic theory from Istanbul University. The field of economic theory is the focus of study for both degrees. He completed his PhD program at Kyoto University's Department of Economics. His studies concentrate on the economies of East Asia, energy economics, financial economics, institutional economics, and input-output analysis. His primary research interests are in the institutional frameworks of global and financial economies. He was employed at a broad range of institutions, and his works were published in scholarly publications. At the present, he is working as an associate professor at the economics department of Firat University in Turkey. Moreover, he was a research fellow at the Faculty of Engineering in the Kyushu University.
