The similarity rate of the articles uploaded to our journal is determined with the ithenticate program. A similarity report is created by comparing national and international databases with ithenticate.

The Harran University Engineering Journal editorial board applies the following rules as per our plagiarism policy;

- Articles with a similarity rate of more than 20% are rejected. In such cases, the author/s are asked to revise and upload the article.

- Only articles with a similarity rate of ≤ 20% are accepted into the double-blind peer review process.

- A maximum of 4% of the citations from a study can be made. If it is more, the author/s are asked to revise and upload the article. Also, block quotes are not allowed.

- All authors who upload articles to the Harran University Engineering Journal are deemed to have accepted the rules mentioned above.
