“Special Issue on Turkish-Greek Studies from Past to Present”
Dear Researchers,
Türkiyat Mecmuası (Journal of Turkology) plans to publish a special issue in 2025 in order to contribute to the international scientific literature, to share research on Turkish-Greek Relations and innovations in the field. The theme of the special issue is “Turkish-Greek Studies from Past to Present”.
The special issue will be published in June 2025.
Special Issue Guest Editor: Assoc. Prof. Esra ÖZSÜER (Istanbul University, Research Institute Of Turkology
The following topics will be prioritized in the special issue:
• Language, Literature, History, Culture, Architecture, Bilateral Relations.
Articles that include new approaches in the field, evidence-based research articles and theoretical contributions related to the theme are expected to be published in the special issue. The article languages for the special issue are Turkish and English.
• Article submission will be held betwwen October 1, 2024 and January 31, 2025
NOTE: Manuscripts should be submitted through the online submission system of the journal, indicating that they are prepared for the special issue on “Turkish-Greek Studies in the Modern Period”.
About Article Submission
The publishing policies and ethical responsibilities to be observed in the submission of articles for this special issue are the same as those of the sequential issues published on the Dergipark page of Türkiyat Mecmuası (Journal of Turkology). Authors should indicate in the ‘Notes for the Editor’ section during the submission process that the manuscript is being submitted for evaluation as part of the special issue on “Turkish-Greek Studies from Past to Present”.

About Article Submission
The publishing policies and ethical responsibilities to be observed in the submission of articles for this special issue are the same as those of the sequential issues published on the Dergipark page of Journal of Turkology, and it should be stated in the ‘Notes for the Editor’ section during the submission process that it is sent to be evaluated within the scope of the special issue of ‘Journal of Turkology 100th Year Special Issue’.
TÜRKİYAT MECMUASI ARTICLE AWARDAn article selected from the issues of Türkiyat Mecmuası published in the last five years, based on an original research approach with a theoretical perspective, will be awarded the Türkiyat Mecmuası Article Award. The award is open to researchers who are not organically affiliated with the Istanbul University Institute of Turkic Studies. The selection process will be conducted by a committee composed of the journal's editors. The 2025 Türkiyat Mecmuası article award will be presented in June 2026. This annual award will be given to an article published in Türkiyat Mecmuası within the last five years. |
TÜRKİYAT MECMUASI SERVICE AWARDThe Türkiyat Mecmuası Service Award will be presented to scholars who have contributed to Türkiyat Mecmuası in the last five years as reviewers, authors of critical book reviews, translation articles, or publication reports. The award is open to researchers who are not organically affiliated with the Istanbul University Institute of Turkic Studies. The 2025 Türkiyat Mecmuası Service Award will be presented in June 2026. |
