JALTC is published three times a year. Submitted manuscripts must be original and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. The journal does not charge any publication fees, and all published articles are freely accessible on the journal’s website.

  • Word Limit: Maximum 8,000 words, including abstract, keywords, key practitioner message, tables, figures, and references.
  • Font and Spacing: Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced, with 1-inch (2.54 cm) margins on A4 paper.
  • Title Page: The title should be 30 words or fewer.
  • Abstract: A maximum of 300 words must be provided on a separate page.
  • Keywords: Include 5 to 8 keywords or phrases.
  • Key Practitioner Message: A required section consisting of three to five bullet points summarizing the practical implications of the study.

Manuscript Structure

  • Title Page (including acknowledgments, funding disclosures, conflicts of interest, ORCID IDs).
  • Abstract (structured according to journal requirements).
  • Main Text (introduction, methods, results, discussion, and conclusion).
  • References (formatted in APA 7th Edition).
  • Tables and Figures (submitted as separate files, not embedded in the manuscript).
  • Supplementary Materials (if applicable).

Citation and Referencing

  • APA 7 format is mandatory.
  • Each reference must include a DOI number (if available).
  • Citations should prioritize recent, high-quality, peer-reviewed journal articles.
  • Books, web pages, and non-peer-reviewed sources should be used only when necessary.

Tables and Figures
  • Tables and figures must be submitted as separate files.
  • Each table and figure must be cited in the main text.
  • Tables should be used only for complex data presentations. Simple descriptive statistics should be included in the text, not in a table.
  • Figures should be submitted in JPG format, and tables should be built in Microsoft Word (not inserted as images).
Statistical Reporting Standards
  • All statistical analyses must be reported following APA 7 guidelines.
  • Exact p-values must be provided rather than general thresholds (e.g., "p = .003" instead of "p < .05").
  • For extremely small values, scientific notation (e.g., p = 2.3e-7) is acceptable.
  • Effect sizes (e.g., Cohen’s d, η², R²) and confidence intervals must be included.
  • Software and version numbers must be stated (e.g., SPSS 27.0, R 4.1.2).
  • Multiple comparison corrections (e.g., Bonferroni, Holm) must be applied and explicitly stated.

Manuscripts that fail to meet these statistical reporting standards may be returned for revision or rejected during editorial screening.

Manuscript Alignment with Journal Guidelines
  • Manuscripts previously submitted to other journals must be properly revised to fit JALTC’s style, format, and academic focus.
  • Generic resubmissions without adaptation will be desk rejected.
  • Manuscripts must not contain remnants of formatting, references, or comments from previous submissions to other journals.
  • Authors must disclose if their manuscript has been previously submitted elsewhere.
Plagiarism and Ethical Standards
  • All manuscripts are screened for plagiarism using İntihal.net before submission.
  • Human subject research must include an Ethics Committee Approval statement.
  • Authors must disclose conflicts of interest and funding sources.
  • AI-generated content cannot be listed as an author and must be disclosed if used for assistance.
Supplementary Materials and Data Sharing
  • Authors are encouraged to provide supplementary materials (e.g., datasets, appendices, analysis scripts).
  • If datasets are included, they must be hosted on recognized repositories (e.g., OSF, Zenodo, Dryad).
Proofs and Copyediting
  • Minor copyediting may be performed, but authors are responsible for clarity and readability.
  • Manuscripts with poor English quality may be returned for language revision before peer review.
  • PDF proofs will be sent to the corresponding author before publication.
