Manuscript Submission Guidelines for Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Social Sciences

Manuscripts submitted to the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Social Sciences must comply with spelling and punctuation rules. Proper citation, referencing, and adherence to the journal’s writing guidelines are particularly emphasized.

The journal publishes articles written in either Turkish or English. The responsibility for the scientific and linguistic accuracy of the published works lies with the author(s).

Our journal evaluates not only submissions from academics but also research and practical studies from other researchers and practitioners.

Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format using MS Office Word after registering as a user in the DergiPark system.

The most crucial point to consider when submitting a manuscript via DergiPark is the double-blind peer review process. Therefore, the first page of the manuscript file should include only the author's name(s), affiliation, email address, and any additional information (such as acknowledgments or explanations). The main text of the manuscript should begin on the second page, without any author details.

Submitted manuscripts undergo a preliminary review for formatting and content before being checked for plagiarism. After this process, they are sent to at least two reviewers. Manuscripts receiving favorable reviews are accepted for publication. If one reviewer provides a positive review while another gives a negative one, the manuscript is forwarded to a third reviewer if deemed necessary by the Editor.

Once the review process is complete, manuscripts are queued for publication in order of submission. An acceptance email is sent to the author(s) via DergiPark upon acceptance.

Based on the reviewers’ reports, the editorial board may decide to publish the manuscript, request revisions (including additional information or reductions), or reject the submission. The decision is communicated to the author(s) via the system. Authors are required to make all necessary changes requested by the reviewers; otherwise, the manuscript will not be published.

No royalties are paid for works published in the journal. By submitting a manuscript to the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Social Sciences via DergiPark, the author(s) transfer copyright of the manuscript to the journal.

Accepted or published manuscripts may not be reproduced or published in any form without the written permission of the Niğde Ömer Halisdemir University Journal of Social Sciences. However, citations may be made by providing proper references.

If the manuscript is supported by any institution or derived from a thesis, this must be clearly stated on the first page of the manuscript file, where author details are provided.
