History of the Journal: SAVSAD Journal of Defence and War Studies started its publishing life in 1991 named as “Journal of Turkish Military Academy”. The name of the journal was changed as “The Science Journal of Turkish Military Academy” in 1995. It has been being published as a national and peer-reviewed journal since 2006. It has changed its name to “Journal of Defence and War Studies” by the 2020 Fall issue and continues its publishing life. It has been indexed by TR Dizin.
