Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

The TYB Academy Journal of Language, Literature and Social Sciences is committed to upholding the principles of scientific honesty, impartiality and transparency throughout the publication process. The objective of the journal is to facilitate the convergence of social sciences and literature research within the academic community in Turkey, while ensuring the dissemination of knowledge in a manner that is respectful and in accordance with the highest standards of academic integrity. In accordance with this, the journal requires its stakeholders to act in accordance with the ethical principles set out in this document in all its processes.

Ethical Responsibilities of Authors


It is expected that authors submitting studies to TYB Academy will comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

Originality and Citation: Authors must submit only original studies. If other studies are used, these sources must be cited correctly and completely.
The contribution of individuals who do not contribute to a study should not be indicated as authors. Everyone who makes an intellectual contribution to the study must be indicated as an author.
Authors should declare any potential conflicts of interest regarding their studies.
When necessary, authors should be ready to submit raw data to the scientific board.
In the event of multiple submissions, the following procedure should be followed: It is not permissible to submit the same study to more than one journal for evaluation at the same time.

The Ethical Duties and Responsibilities of Editors


Editors are responsible for each article published in the journal and must adhere to the following ethical rules:

Impartiality: It is the responsibility of editors to evaluate studies impartially, without allowing commercial or political concerns to influence their judgement.
Feedback: In providing feedback to authors in response to the referees' evaluations, it is imperative that the language employed is constructive and informative.
Confidentiality: Editors are bound by a duty of confidentiality with regard to the evaluation process and must safeguard the confidentiality of the author-reviewer relationship.

Ethical Responsibilities of Referees

In the context of a double-blind review process, reviewers are expected to adhere to the following ethical responsibilities:
Area of Expertise: It is the responsibility of the referee to ensure that they possess the requisite expertise to evaluate studies within their field.
Impartiality: It is imperative that they conduct an objective evaluation, free from any personal biases, including those related to nationality, gender, religious beliefs and political views.
Confidentiality: It is the responsibility of the referees to maintain the confidentiality of the studies they evaluate. Furthermore, they may only utilise the studies in question after their publication.

Publisher's Ethical Responsibilities

The Turkish Writers Union (TYB) assumes the role of publisher and is thus responsible for ensuring that the journal's publishing process aligns with ethical standards. All decisions are made within the framework of editors' independence, and economic or political interests do not affect these processes.

Ethics Committee and Human Rights

In order for studies to be published, the editors and authors must obtain ethics committee approval for the subjects included in the studies and document that the necessary permissions regarding human rights have been obtained. Studies cannot be published without such documents. TYB Academy will continue to be a respected platform in the academic publishing world, both nationally and internationally, in line with the principles of scientific originality and commitment to ethical values.
