The Journal of German Language and Culture Studies (ALKAD) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal that began publishing in 2019. It is released twice a year, in June and December. The journal aims to present studies focusing on the German language and culture to the academic community by subjecting them to scientific standards and evaluation criteria. While the majority of the articles in each issue are related to German language and culture, up to 20% of the total articles may include studies from other philologies.

The journal includes both theoretical and/or applied studies in the fields of literary studies, linguistics, cultural studies, translation studies, and language teaching, all centered on German language and culture. The journal accepts articles in Turkish, German, and English.
