Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences is a national, scientific and peer-reviewed journal published by Beykent University Institute of Graduate Studies. Having been a "Peer-reviewed Journal" since 2008, Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences is a biannual journal published in June and December. It is a bilingual journal publishing articles written in Turkish and/or English. Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences (BUJSS) is a peer-reviewed journal covering authentic scientific articles from all fields of social sciences, e.g. economics, banking, business administration, finance, psychology, political science, sociocultural anthropology, sociology, history, international relations and cultural studies, communications, comparative literature, languages, and literature, etc. The submission, evaluation, and publication processes are carried out on the DergiPark system at https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/bujss. Communication among authors and peer reviewers in the initial check, review, and publication processes also takes place via the DergiPark system. Apart from these processes, communication regarding general issues related to the Journal is carried out at sosyalbilimlerdergi@beykent.edu.tr. The manuscripts submitted to the Journal must be written in accordance with the Journal’s style guide, and cannot have been published or submitted for publication anywhere else before. Manuscripts submitted to Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences are screened for originality to prevent plagiarism. The upper limit of similarity is 15% excluding the References. Papers submitted to the Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences are first checked by the Editor-in-Chief. Articles deemed inappropriate by the Editor may be rejected at any stage. The manuscripts submitted are published after the Editorial Board’s inspection, followed by the review process by two peer reviewers (double-blind peer review), who are experts on the subject, and if deemed necessary, by a third reviewer, and eventually with the final approval of the Editorial Board. In line with the reviewers’ reports, editors and the Editorial Board make a final decision whether the article should be published or not. Manuscripts submitted to Beykent University’s Journal of Social Sciences cannot have been published nor submitted for publication elsewhere. If manuscripts are accepted for publication, Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences owns all publication rights. Articles published in the Journal cannot be published or reproduced elsewhere without the permission of Beykent University Journal of Social Sciences.
