Publication Process*
Average turnaround time for initial check**: 2 - 3 weeks
Average turnaround time for peer review (assignment, review, correction, etc.): 3 - 5 months
Average turnaround time for publication (decision, typesetting, editorial board approval, order of publication, etc.): 1 - 2 months
*Turnaround times are approximate estimations. Factors such as reviewer turnaround time, number of submissions, journal field, etc. may and will affect the turnaround times, and the publication process may take longer or shorter for individual articles.
**Turnaround times are also affected by the compliance of the manuscript with the scope, style guide, and format of the Journal, and whether or not all the required documents such as the originality report and letter of ethical approval are uploaded to the system.
Note: Publication terms and conditions for the manuscripts submitted depend entirely on the completion of the peer review process, permission and approval of the authorized committees/commissions and the Editor-in-Chief, and the release date of the relevant issue of the Journal. The Journal has a certain limit on the number of articles it can publish in each issue. Therefore, even the papers with all the processes complete await the relevant issues they are planned to be published in, and are put in an order of publication depending first on the completion date of their processes and then on their date of submission.

Publication Frequency
Beykent University's Journal of Social Sciences is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published at least twice a year in June and December.
