I have completed a four-year BA in world history at Pamukkale University (Turkey). This consisted of 3 years in Turkey and 1 year in Denmark at the University of Southern Denmark.
While in Denmark as an exchange student, I had the good fortune to travel around the
European countries. The academics that were in charge of me gave me a new perspective on education and life. I was able to compare the cultural norms of my country with others. I completed my M.A. at Aksaray University in 2014 (Transferred from İstanbul University) and my Ph.D. at Ankara University at Medieval History Department July 2023. I lived in Caucasus, in Dagestan where I studied Russian language for 1 year. I both studied Russian and travelled in Northern Caucasus. After my Russian Language Preparation Faculty in Dagestan, I moved to Kazan (Republic of Tatarstan). During my time in Russia, I got to
travel the western part (Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novgorod, Pskov, Yaroslav) as well as Volga Region (Tatarstan, Chuvashia, Mari El), Ural Region and around two months in Siberia (from Surgut in the north to the Republic of Tyva and from Urals to Baikal). During this time, I came to know people from many different cultures, which gave me a deeper knowledge of their ways of life. This gave me the opportunity to reflect and compare the ways of Scandinavian, Russian (Slavic and others) and Turkic cultures. I have tried to socialize and converse with fellow students and peers of international origin.
