- Istem is journal of Necmettin Erbakan University Ahmet Kelesoglu Faculty of Theology Department of Islamic History and Arts.
- The first issue of our journal was published in 2003 and since the 31st issue of 2018, our journal has been continuing as an e-journal.
- It is a scientific and peer-reviewed journal published twice a year in June and December.
- Article acceptance dates: January 1 - March 1 for the June issue and July 1 - September 1 for the December issue.
- If the number of articles reaches a sufficient level, the article acceptance process can be closed before these dates.

- In our journal, copyrighted articles, translation articles (subject to permission from the author and the publisher), book introductions, symposium and meeting introductory articles are published. Manuscripts submitted to the journal should not be published elsewhere or sent for publication.
- Manuscripts derived from theses submitted to our journal must be written in English.
- It is used in our journal "The Isnad Citation Style". Articles submitted to our journal without complying with the "Principles of Writing" are not considered.
- Since December 2011, our journal has been searched by TUBİTAK ULAKBİM TR Index Social and Humanities Database.
