Boydak is a faculty member at the Department of Turkish Islamic Arts History at the Faculty of Theology at Selçuk University.
He was born in Konya/Seydişehir in 1982. He completed his secondary and high school education at Konya Central Imam Hatip High School. He graduated from Selçuk University Faculty of Theology in 2003. Between 2005 and 2014, he worked as a teacher in different schools affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. In 2010, he received his Master's degree with his study titled "Fazl Bin Sahl's Life and Personality" and in 2016, he received his Ph.D. degree with his study titled "Merv City in Islamic History and Civilization". In 2014, he started his academic life as a research assistant at Karamanoğlu Mehmetbey University, Faculty of Islamic Sciences, Department of Islamic History. In 2022, the author, who became an associate professor, is the head of the Islamic History and Art Department of the same faculty. Although he has studied various topics and periods of Islamic history and civilization from the past to the present, his academic interest is especially on medieval Turco-Islamic cities.
