Artificial Intelligence Policy
Purpose:
This policy aims to establish ethical, scientific, and technical standards regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in the Şırnak University Faculty of Theology Journal, ensuring their transparent, accurate, and impartial application.
General Principles:
1. Ethical Use: AI technologies may only be utilized as auxiliary tools for technical purposes, such as grammar and style consistency. Authors bear full responsibility for any data generated by AI in the production or analysis of academic content.
2. Transparency: Authors must disclose the stages and methods of AI usage in their articles, clearly stating these in the ethics statement section of the manuscript.
3. Accuracy: All data obtained through AI usage must be verified against sources. Authors are accountable for any inaccurate or incomplete information.
4. Impartiality: AI technologies must be used impartially during production processes. To prevent potential conflicts of interest, authors should maintain transparency and disclose such matters in their ethics declarations.
5. Privacy and Security: Privacy and security of personal data are prioritized in AI usage. Confidentiality must be respected during data collection, storage, and processing.
6. Citation: AI usage should not be included in footnotes or references but must be disclosed in the ethics statement section.
Responsibilities:
1. Authors: Authors are fully responsible for all ethical and scientific outcomes arising from the use of AI technologies.
2. Reviewers and Editors: The journal management ensures that AI usage complies with the stated standards.
3. Updates and Adaptations: This policy may be updated in light of advancements in AI technologies.
Journal Commitments:
1. The Şırnak University Faculty of Theology Journal commits not to use AI in the article evaluation process.
2. The journal supports the ethical and responsible use of AI technologies and aims to raise awareness on this matter.
