Dr. Çiğdem Tıkıroğlu 2002 yılında Pamukkale Üniversitesi Hemşirelik lisans programından, 2008 yılında aynı üniversitenin Okulöncesi Öğretmenliği lisans programından mezun olmuştur. 2002-2009 yılları arasında Ege Üniversitesi ve Pamukkale Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanelerinde hemşire olarak görev yapmıştır. 2009 yılında Pamukkale Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Özel Eğitim Bölümünde araştırma görevlisi olarak çalışmaya başlamıştır. 2009 yılında Anadolu Üniversitesinde, Zihin Engelliler Öğretmenliği alanında yüksek lisansa başlamıştır. 2011 yılında aynı üniversitenin Zihin Engelliler Öğretmenliği programında bütünleşik doktora eğitimine başlamış ve eğitimini 2019 yılında tamamlamıştır. 2020 yılından itibaren Pamukkale Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Özel Eğitim Bölümünde öğretim üyesi olarak görev yapan Tıkıroğlu’nun bilimsel çalışma alanları arasında doğal gelişimsel davranışsal müdahaleler, Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu olan çocuklarda sosyal etkileşim ve akran aracılı müdahaleler yer almaktadır.
