Born in 1974 in Köyceğiz district of Muğla province, Prof. Dr. Ercan CEYHAN graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops as an Agricultural Engineer in 1996. In 1996, he started to work as a research assistant at Selçuk University Faculty of Agriculture, completed his master's degree in 1999 and his doctorate in 2004. In 2005, he was appointed Assistant Professor, in 2010 as Associate Professor, and in 2016 as Professor. Between 2016 and 2022, he served as the Head of the Field Crops Department at Selçuk University, Faculty of Agriculture. He established Turkey's first fully controlled Plant Breeding Greenhouses, Seed Quality and Certification Laboratory, and a Plant Test Room with project support from organizations such as TÜBİTAK, TAGEM, and KOP. In 2017, he established the Department of Plant Breeding and Genetics and the Plant Breeding and Seed Technologies Application and Research Center at Selçuk University, the first in Turkey, and he is still the Director of the Center. He mainly works on plant breeding and has 12 registered varieties. Prof. Dr. Ercan CEYHAN, who is married and has one child, still works as a faculty member in the same place.

I was born in 1989 in Köyceğiz district of Muğla province. I completed my primary school education at Dalyan Naciye Tinaztepe primary school in 2003 and my high school education at Ortaca High School in 2006. I received a bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from Aydın Adnan Menderes University, Turkey in 2010. I completed my Master’s in the same department in 2014. The focus of my Master’s thesis was sprayers. I assigned as a research assistant at Selcuk University in Turkey since 2013. My professional research area and PhD thesis consist of precision planters, specifically planter performance uses for vegetable seeds. In 2014, I completed my master's degree with a thesis in the field of spraying machines and then started my PhD education at Selçuk University, Department of Agricultural Machinery and Technologies Engineering and completed my doctoral thesis on precision planting machines in 2021. After completing my doctorate program I have joined FarmsLab research team in 2023, I pursued my post-doctoral research on technological developments and sensor integration in planter systems at K-State University in Kansas, United States, within the scope of TÜBİTAK BİDEB-2219 programme. Afterwards I continue my academic career at Selçuk University as Assistant Professor in 2024.
I am also married and have one child.
Cem Tırınk is an associate professor in the Department of Biometry and Genetics, Faculty of Agriculture, Zootekni at Iğdır University. He continues his academic career by delving into the field of zootekni and specializing in biometry and genetics. His research focuses on data mining, machine learning, population genetics, and genetic data analysis. In addition to teaching biometry and genetics, he has participated in numerous scientific projects and has been involved in national and international efforts to enhance his expertise in the field. Alongside his professional achievements, he places great importance on collaborations within the scientific community and on mentoring.
Nur Koç Koyun is an Assist. Prof. Dr. in the Department of Field Crops at Selcuk University in Konya, Türkiye. For more than 10 years, she has been working as a staff at Selçuk University. In 2011, she graduated from Selçuk University, Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Agricultural Engineering. She completed two master's degrees in Field Crops, one on oil crop false flax (Camelina sativa) in 2014, and the other on the effects of salt dose on Agropyron sp. species in 2017. In 2021, she was granted a PhD degree in Field Crops, focusing on Forage kochia (Bassia prostrata) populations. Her research interests include the Rangeland and Pasture Improvement, Shrub Forage Crops, Forage Crops Breeding, and Population Genetics. She has lived, worked, and studied in Konya, Türkiye.
In 2014, I commenced my role as a research assistant with ÖYP (Faculty Member Training Program) at Selçuk University's Faculty of Agriculture, Department of Field Crops and Department of Medicinal Plants. In 2021, I completed my doctoral specialisation in the Department of Medicinal Plants. I am currently employed as a Assist. Dr. at my current institution. My research activities encompass the development and production of medicinal plants, the maintenance of consistent yields, the standardisation of processes, the transformation of herbal products, the quality assessment of the resulting materials, and the evaluation of the outcomes.
I was born in Çiçekdağı district of Kırşehir in 1968. I graduated from the Agricultural Mechanization Department of Selcuk University Faculty of Agriculture in 1990. I started working as a research assistant in the same department in 1991. I completed my master's degree in 1993 and PhD degree in 1998 at Selcuk University, Institute of Natural Sciences, Agricultural Mechanization. I have been working as a Professor in the same department since 2011. I am conducting research in the fields of planter and fertilization mechanization, biological materials and ergonomics.

Dr. Kasem Zaki Ahmed graduated with a BSc and MSc in Agriculture from Minia University, and earned his PhD in Plant Genetics (Biotechnology) from the Hungarian Academy of Science, Hungary, in 1993. His university career started at the Faculty of Agriculture, Minia University, Egypt, and was promoted as full Professor in 2004. He held several academic administrative positions as, member of the Egyptian National Committee of Genetics (2017-2020); member of the Promotion Committee of the Professors and Assistant Professors in Genetics, Agricultural Chemistry, Agricultural Microbiology (2013-2016); Vice-Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, (2011-2014); Head of Genetics department (2010-2011), Director of Minia Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology, Minia University (2004 - 2014). He worked as a Visiting Professor at the Laboratory of Tropical Crop Improvement, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Leuven, Belgium in 2001.
As a researcher, Dr. Ahmed published a total of 80 articles in refereed journals, and one chapter in reference book. He supervisor on more than 35 studies of MS and PhD degree in biotechnology. He won several research prizes and awards including The 2011 African Crop Science Society AWARDS for outstanding scientists; Minia University Encouragement Prize 2004; and Minia University Prize for the best scientific Paper for Agricultural Sciences, Egypt, 2004.
Dr. Ahmed was one of the founding members of the Minia Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology. Fac. Agric., Minia Univ., El-Minia, Egypt.
Dr. Ahmed is elected President of the African Crop Science Society (2007-2009) and Member of the Executive Board of the Global Plant Council (2013-2015); member of many other scientific organizations. He is reviewer for M.Sc. & Ph.D. theses and many international scientific journals. He is freelance writer & member, the Arab Science Journalists Association.
