Prof. Dr. İsmail Kırbaş, Sakarya Üniversitesi'nde Elektronik ve Bilgisayar Eğitimi alanında doktora derecesini tamamlamış, şu anda Mehmet Akif Ersoy Üniversitesi Bilgisayar ve Bilişim fakültesinde dekan, HAYTEK Ortak Uygulama Araştırma merkezinde de müdür olarak görev yapmaktadır. Kırbaş, özellikle kablosuz vücut alan ağı protokolleri, yapay zeka, nesnelerin interneti ve makine öğrenmesi gibi alanlarda çalışmalar yapmaktadır. Eğitim geçmişinde Kocaeli Üniversitesi’nde lisans ve yüksek lisans derecelerini tamamlamış olan Kırbaş, yenilikçi projelere öncülük eden bir akademik kariyere sahiptir.
Prof. Dr. Kırbaş’ın çalışmaları, özellikle yapay zekâ ve veri madenciliği tekniklerini kullanarak tarım ve sağlık gibi çeşitli sektörlerde dijital dönüşüme katkı sağlamaktadır. Ulusal ve uluslararası birçok projede araştırmacı ve yürütücü olarak yer alan Kırbaş, bilimsel alanda çok sayıda yayına ve patentlere sahiptir.

Prof. Dr. Oliver Gailing is Chair of the Department of Forest Genetics and Forest Tree Breeding at the University of Göttingen. He received the Diploma degree in Biology in 1994 from the University of Bochum and the Ph.D. degree in Plant Genetics from the University of Halle-Wittenberg, Germany, in 2000. In 2009, he was granted the venia legendi for Forest Genetics from the University of Göttingen. From 2009 to 2017 he was a Professor for Forest Genetics at Michigan Technological University, United States. Since 2017 he is Professor and Department Chair of Forest Genetics and Forest Tree Breeding at the University of Göttingen. He is also Honorary Professor at the Transsilvania University of Brasov, Romania (since 2018) and adjunct Professor at Michigan Technological University (since 2017). His research program focuses on population genetic of forest trees and on the study of evolutionary forces acting on plant populations and species during their history and on the evolution of adaptive and species-specific characters. Specifically, genetic structures and their spatial and temporal dynamics have been analysed in natural forest ecosystems based on molecular genetic markers. Dr. Gailing has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international projects (EVOLTREE, Hardwood Genomics, Sustainable energy pathways, IMPAC: Novel genotypes for mixed cropping, Barcoding sequences for community phylogenies). His research activities are documented in more than 200 peer-reviewed journal publications.
Sima Pouya 1984 yılında İran’ın Kirmanşah şehrinde dünyaya geldi. İlk ve ortaöğretimini babasının memleketi Şebister/Tebriz’de bitiren Pouya, lisans eğitimini Tebriz Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı
bölümünde tamamladı. 2013 yılında Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı bölümünden yüksek lisans derecesi aldı ve yine Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı bölümünde doktora
programını tamamladı. 2018 yılında İnönü Üniversitesi’ne doktor öğretim üyesi olarak atanan Pouya, 2020 yılında doçent unvanı aldı. Akademik olarak “doğanın iyileştirici yönü kapsamında iyileştirme
bahçelerinin planlaması ve tasarımı, özel gereksinimli bireyler için peyzaj tasarımı, bahçe terapisi” vb. alanlara ilgi duyan Pouya, halen İnönü Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı bölümünde çalışmalarına devam etmektedir. Sima Pouya ileri derecede Farsça, İngilizce, Azerbaycan Türkçesi ve Türkiye Türkçesi bilmektedir.
Sara DEMIR, PhD., is Assoc. Prof. Dr. in the Landscape Department at the Bursa Technical
University, Bursa, Turkey. Her fields of expertise include landscape planning, historical lanscape
character asssessment, landscape character assessment, landscape ecology, nature conservation,nature-based solution,blue- green
infrastructure, ecosystem restoration, ecotourism, sustainable tourism, multi-criteria decision-making methods, geographic
information system.
Prof. Dr. Kadir Aydın; 24.10.1962 tarihinde Afyonkarahisar ili Dereçine Kasabasında doğmuştur. İlk, orta ve Meslek Lisesi eğitimini Konya ili Akşehir ilçesinde tamamlamıştır. Çukurova Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği Bölümünden 1983 yılında Lisans derecesini, 1986 yılında da Yüksek Lisans derecesini almıştır. Doktora çalışmalarını burslu olarak Liverpool Üniversitesi Makina Mühendisliği Bölümünde 1993 yılında tamamlayarak mecburi hizmet görevi için 1993 yılında Çukurova Üniversitesi Makine Mühendisliği Bölümünde Yardımcı Doçent olarak göreve başlamış ve 1995 yılında Doçent, 2001 yılında da Profesör olmuştur. 2013-2020 yılları arasında Çukurova Teknoloji Geliştirme Bölgesinde (Çukurova Teknokent) Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı ve Genel Müdür olarak görev yapmıştır. Araştırma alanları İçten Yanmalı Motorlar, Taşıt Teknolojisi, Yanma, Hidrojen ve Elektrikli Araçlar, Alternatif Yakıtlar (Biyodizel, Biyoetanol ve Biyogaz) ve Eklemeli Üretim olup, tescil edilmiş patentleri, 250’nin üzerinde yayınlanmış ulusal ve uluslararası kitap, makale ve bildirisi bulunan, aynı zamanda çok sayıda Ar-Ge projesini başarı ile tamamlayan Prof. Dr. Kadir AYDIN evli, 2 çocuk ve 1 torun sahibidir. Halen Çukurova Üniversitesi Otomotiv Mühendisliği Bölümü’nde Profesör ve Makoto Mühendislik Dan. İth. İhr. San. Tic. Ltd. Şti. Genel Müdürü olarak görev yapmaktadır.
Nadir Yilmaz is a professor and the department chair of Mechanical Engineering at Howard University, as well as, a licensed professional engineer (P.E.) and consultant. He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Istanbul Technical University, Bradley University and New Mexico State University, respectively. He is a Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) and Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE International). He has been a noted author of many publications in the fields of combustion, CFD, rocket propulsion and automotive engineering. He was a NASA Academic Mission Services (NAMS) Faculty Researcher, and a U.S. Department of Energy Visiting Faculty at Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratories. He has educated and mentored many underrepresented minority and female students via various STEM programs including the NSF-funded AMP (Alliance for Minority Participation) program.
Dr. Yilmaz serves as the Editor-In-Chief for the SAE International Journal of Fuels and Lubricants and as a member of the editorial board of numerous international journals. In addition, he serves on SAE Foundation Board of Trustees, NSPE Education Foundation Board of Trustees, New Mexico AMP Advisory Board and the Board of Directors of Society of Automotive Engineers of Turkey. Dr. Yilmaz has also served as the Past Chair of SAE Education Board, NSPE Higher Education Executive Board, ASEE Aerospace Division, SAE Washington DC Section and ASME New Mexico Section. In a Governor-appointed position, Dr. Yilmaz previously served on the New Mexico State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors.
Sadık C. Artunç, FASLA, FCELA, PLA, PE is a professor who has recently returned to his faculty position after serving seventeen years as the Head of Department of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University (MSU) (January 2007 – December 2023). Prior to his tenure at MSU, he taught at the Robert S. Reich School of Landscape Architecture of Louisiana State University between 2007 - 1981. Sadık has dedicated his academic career to educating students in innovative, humanistic, and environmentally sensitive planning, design, and implementation and to serving as an enthusiastic advocate for the profession and education of professionals. With the highest standards of professional ethics, he has been a successful and very consistent role model for his students and colleagues.
A native of Turkey, Sadık is a naturalized citizen of the U.S.A. He has a B.S. and M.S. in forestry and forest engineering from the University of Istanbul, and a M.L.A. from the University of Michigan. He is a registered landscape architect in the U.S.A. and a registered forester and forest engineer in Turkey. His teaching involves design implementation and construction, site planning and design, and regional planning and design. His professional consulting involves large-scale planning and design with a focus mostly on recreation and tourism, resource planning, and design implementation/construction. He has worked on projects in the United States, Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Turkey. Prior to arriving in the United States in 1975, he worked in Turkey as a forester and forest engineer for the Ministry of Forestry, and later as a recreation planner in the Central Planning Office of the National Parks Service and, finally, as the planning director of the Uludağ (Olympus) National Park for the Department of National Parks in Bursa, Turkey.
Sadık has been an active member of various professional organizations and societies since 1981. Always a tireless and enthusiastic promoter of the profession of landscape architecture and ASLA, Sadık served at various leadership capacities and levels: the Louisiana Chapter president (1991); chapter trustee (1996–2001); and finally, as the national vice-president of membership (2002–2004), during which time ASLA membership had a tremendous growth in numbers. Sadık was nominated and ran for the office of President of ASLA in 2005. Sadık was inducted into the ASLA Council of Fellows in 2000. Most recently, he served as the President-elect, President, and Past-President of the CELA. During his three-year service which has been impacted by the COVID, the annual conference was cancelled in 2020, held the first ever virtual annual conference was held in 2021, and the first face-to-face and virtual (hybrid) conference was held in 2022. Also, during his term, the CELA Board of Directors enacted and endowed the Charles Fountain Scholarship for minority students studying landscape architecture.
His teaching, scholarly, and professional activities through ASLA, CELA, CLARB, LAAB, ECLAS, IFLA, and Turkish Society of Landscape Architecture (PEMAT and PEMDER) have contributed to an increased visibility and awareness of the profession. He has over one fifty hundred publications to his credit in refereed journals, proceedings of professional conferences, national registration exams, magazines, and book chapters. He has received twenty-one academic and professional awards during his academic and professional career from his students, his colleagues, and his peers.
