Articles published in IBAD Journal of Social Sciences are made available under Creative Commons licenses. These licenses provide an industry-standard framework to support the easy reuse of open-access materials. Under Creative Commons licenses, authors retain the copyright of their articles. Articles published in IBAD Journal of Social Sciences are available as open access under either the CC BY-NC (Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International License) or the CC BY (Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License), depending on the author's preference. The license chosen by the author(s) will be included in the PDF version of the article.

Creative Commons licenses enable content creators to share their work while retaining certain rights. The fundamental difference between CC BY and CC BY-NC lies in permissions for commercial use.
CC BY (Attribution): Anyone may use, share, and modify the work for any purpose (commercial or non-commercial), provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author.
CC BY-NC (Attribution-NonCommercial): The work may only be used for non-commercial purposes. Proper attribution to the author remains mandatory.

Copyright Ownership and Special Cases
If authors are not permitted to retain the copyright of their own articles, they must contact the journal's editorial office before submission so that we can determine whether non-standard copyright requests can be accommodated. Additionally, authors are advised to check the requirements of their funding bodies to ensure compliance.

Furthermore, authors:
a) Confirm that the submitted article is their original work and does not contain plagiarism,
b) Confirm that all authors have individually contributed to the work and take full responsibility for it,
c) Confirm that all authors have reviewed and approved the final version of the submitted article,
d) Confirm that the article has not been published elsewhere nor is under consideration for publication elsewhere,
e) Confirm that the text, figures, and documents in the article do not infringe on any third-party copyrights.
f) The authors acknowledge and accept full responsibility for any claims or legal actions arising from copyright infringement by third parties, affirming that the Publisher and Journal Editors bear no liability in such cases.
